イートンハウスはレッジョエミリアアプローチの影響を多く受けた独自のカリキュラムを提供しており、軽井沢では特にこの環境を生かして自然を通して学ぶことを基盤としたカリキュラムとなっています。

子供達は無限の表現方法をもち、常に探求し、想像力を駆使して自分の考えと自身の周りに広がる世界を結びつけて学んでいます。遊びの中には言語、数字、科学など多くの学びで溢れており、子供達は包括的にこれらを吸収していきます。学びはあくまでも子供達主体で進み、子供達は遊びや探求を通してファシリテーターである先生とともに自身に沸き起こる疑問やチャレンジに対して答えを探したり、創造力を駆使して問題解決に取り組みます。

プリスクールでは環境に対する尊重の念を育む事にも注力しており、子供達が住む身近な世界を、軽井沢のコミュニティ、季節、文化などを通して、大切な世界として認知し、自身もコミュニティを作り上げる一員であるという気持ちを作り上げていきます。親はスクールと共に子供達の学びの環境を作り上げるパートナーであり、スクールでは子供の家族、近隣のコミュニティともコラボレーションした学びの環境を提供することを歓迎しています。

Curriculum
EtonHouse Karuizawa welcomes students of primary level. While offering the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) our students’ learning is not limited within our classrooms. Complementing our academic strength, children will be engaged learning in the nature of Karuizawa for many of their units of Inquiry.

Our unique outdoor education programme in Karuizawa, where we undertake camping trips, river trekking and forest explorations enhances the learning at EtonHouse Karuizawa.
