EtonHouse International School, Broadrick

 

EtonHouse International School is situated on 51 Broadrick Road on the East Coast of Singapore. EtonHouse International School is authorised as an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme World School. This World School status was granted in June, 2007.

There are approximately 270 primary children enrolled on the Broadrick site, with these children representing some 48 plus nationalities. The Broadrick Road address is in a quiet, leafy residential area adjacent to the Geylang walkway connector and canal. The nearest Dakota MRT station on the Circle Line is a 10 minute walk from the school site.

EtonHouse International School offers classes from Year 2 to Year 6 for children aged 6 to 11 years of age. The curriculum philosophy is inquiry-focused and trans-disciplinary, based upon the pedagogy of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. Students are encouraged to become active, compassionate, life-long learners who seek to create a better world through intercultural understanding and respect. The programmes are academically rigorous in their learning expectations and challenge students to be become responsible members of their school, local and global communities.

EtonHouse International School offers a rich and diverse curricular and co-curricular programme that includes: a Year 5 and 6 laptop programme, computer laboratory access for all, a well-stocked library, specialist art and music rooms, a large multi-purpose hall for dining and performance, a multi-purpose covered games court for outdoor play especially on rainy days and language classes in Mandarin, Hindi, Japanese and English as an Additional Language. Chinese Cultural classes, academic and recreational Extra Curricular Activities and sports programmes on the extensive playing fields, are also a part of the rich holistic curriculum.

The international school also offers a Primary Bilingual Programme, the first in Singapore where language learning happens in natural and contextual envrionment with an English and Mandarin teacher in the classroom at all times.

EduTrust Certificate

The EduTrust Certification Scheme, a voluntary scheme administered by the Council for Private Education (CPE) for Private Education Institutions (PEIs), qualifies PEIs to enrol international students that need Student Passes issued by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA).
